Laticrete to buy DuPont's surface-care business

Laticrete (Bethany, CT) has agreed to buy DuPont’s surface-care business, a maker of protective coatings and surface treatments for the stone and tile market, the companies say. The deal is expected to close later this month. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. “Laticrete knows the stone and tile market well and sells complementary products, and we believe the DuPont surface-care business can best pursue its potential and most effectively meet market needs through this transaction," says Thierry Vanlacker, president/chemicals...
