Heidelberger Buys U.K. Paintmaker

Print machinery and service supplier Heidelberger Druckmaschinen (Heidelberg, Germany) says it has agreed to acquire high-performance coatings manufacturer Hi-Tech Coatings (Aylesbury, U.K), for an undisclosed sum. Hi-Tech has annual sales of €25 million ($38.7 million) and produces mostly water- and ultraviolet-based coatings for the print industry, primarily in the U.K. and Eastern Europe.
