DSM opens antireflective coatings plant in Netherlands

DSM has opened a manufacturing plant at Geleen, Netherlands, for the production of the company’s antireflective coatings, marketed as KehpriCoat. The coating is primarily targeted at solar applications and is applied on the cover glass of solar modules to reduce the reflection of sunlight. It can increase in the energy output of these modules by up to 4%, DSM says. Last month, DSM acquired light-trapping technology firm SolarExcel (Venray, Netherlands).
