Markets :: Specialty Chemicals :: Paints and Coatings BASF to Build Dispersions Plant at Huizhou, China4:08 AM MDT | August 16, 2010 | Natasha Alperowicz BASF has confirmed CW's report that it will construct a dispersions plant at Huizhou, China, close to the Daya Bay petrochemical complex owned by CSPC, an equally owned joint venture between China National Offshore Oil Corp. and Shell Chemicals, which will supply some of the raw materials. BASF's plant will be designed to produce 100,000 m.t./year of carboxylated styrene butadiene (XSB) dispersions and acrylic dispersions. The company did not give the investment cost.
