BASF Signs Catalytic Surface Coatings Deal

BASF says it has formed a catalytic surface coatings company with Quantiam Technologies, an Edmonton, Alberta-based manufacturer of advanced materials for extreme and critical-use industrial applications. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The new business, named BASF QTech, will be run as an independent entity and focused on commercializing steam cracker furnace tube coatings developed by Quantiam Technologies.
