Acrylic and Emulsion Deal Expands Arkema's U.S. Footprint

Arkema says its acquisition of Dow Chemical’s acrylic acid and esters business at Clear Lake, TX and Dow’s UCAR Emulsion Systems specialty latex business in North America earlier this year expanded its sales into the U.S. coatings markets by nearly a factor of nine, to $300 million, and is in line with the company'sgoal of establishing itself as a global, integrated player in the acrylics market.
