Calumet Specialty Products buys lubricants maker

Calumet Specialty Products announced today that it has acquired United Petroleum Company (Gilbert, AZ), the producer of Quantum-brand lubricants. Calumet calls Quantum, which was launched in 2011, “one of the fastest-growing lubricants brands in the country.” Quantum is sold to the car, truck, farming and industrial markets through 50 distributors in 35 US states.
