BASF builds polyalkylene glycol plant at Ludwigshafen

BASF today announced the construction of a new plant to manufacture polyalkylene glycol (PAG)–based lubricants at its Ludwigshafen site. The facility will start operations by the beginning of 2016 and produce PAG lubricant base stocks and formulated blends. The company has not announced how much it will spend on the project but says it is a “double-digit million-euro investment”.
