Italmatch buys Thermphos's Dequest and phosphorus chlorides businesses

Italmatch Chemicals (Genoa, Italy), a producer of phosphorus derivatives and specialty additives for plastics, lubricants, and water management, has acquired the Dequest phosphonates business and the phosphorus chlorides operations from Thermphos International (Vlissingen, Netherlands). The acquired businesses have combined sales of €80 million ($104.6 million) and employ about 100 people.    Dequest water treatment phosphonates are produced at Newport, UK.
