U.S. Pharmacopeia Expands India Facility

The United States Pharmacopeia (USP; Rockville, MD), a non governmental standards-setting organization, says it is expanding its USP India facility at Hyderabad, India. USP sets standards for the quality, purity, strength and identity of drugs, food ingredients and dietary supplements. USP’s drug standards are legally enforceable in the U.S., and the three types of standards are used in more than 130 countries, USP says.
