Evonik Plans Methyl Mercaptan Unit and Expansion of DL-Methionine Plant

Evonik Industries says it is carrying out basic engineering and feasibility studies to build a $65-million methyl mercaptan plant at its Theodore, AL site. The company says that tax relief has already been approved for the project and it intends to make a final decision during this year.
