Canada and U.S. Accept Organic Food Trade Standards

The Canadian and U.S. governments have agreed to accept each other’s organic certification programs, allowing products that meet U.S. standards to be sold in Canada and vice versa. The agreement, the first of its kind, will lead to greater market opportunities and economic growth for the organic industries of both countries, says the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
