Bartek Ingredients to expand malic, fumaric acids capacity

Bartek Ingredients (Stony Creek, ON) has announced a large expansion of its capacity for malic and fumaric acid, and its precursor material, maleic anhydride. The company will add 50 million pounds of malic acid capacity and 35 million pounds of fumaric acid capacity with new production units scheduled to come onstream in mid-2016. A second expansion, with an additional 85 million pounds of malic and fumaric acid capacity, will begin immediately afterwards, and come onstream in 2019, the company says.
