IFF and Evolva advance fermentation route for vanillin

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF) and Evolva Holding (Reinach, Switzerland) announced that they have entered into the preproduction phase for biobased production of the flavoring ingredient vanillin. The two companies are working to confirm scalability and yield targets through a yeast-based fermentation route.
