Hansen Flavor Business2:33 PM MDT | March 10, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Symrise says it has agreed to acquire Chr. Hansen’s flavor business, for an undisclosed amount. The deal will be “Symrise’s biggest acquisition to date,” Symrise says. The flavor business generates sales of about €50 million ($76.8 million) and includes the seasonings, savory, sweet, and dairy flavor divisions, primarily in North America. The deal is expected to close before the end of April, pending regulatory approvals, Symrise says. Chr. Hansen says the divestment “is an important step” in its ongoing restructuring plan...
