Sensient Posts 10% Profit Growth, Ups Guidance

Sensient Technologies posted third-quarter earnings of $32 million, up 10% from the same year-ago quarter,  on increased flavors and fragrances demand. Earnings of 64 cts/share narrowly beat analysts’ estimates of 62 cts/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York). Sales increased 7%, to $364 million. Foreign currency translation increased both revenue and operating income by approximately 4% in the quarter, Sensient says.
