Givaudan's first-quarter sales rise

Givaudan (Geneva) recorded sales of  1.09 billion Swiss francs ($1.24 billion) during the first quarter of 2014, according to the company's results, published today. The results are down 0.2% in Swiss franc terms compared with figures reported in the first quarter of last year. However, like-for-like results—which exclude the impact of currency, acquisitions, and disposals—increased 5.7% compared with the same period the year before. Income figures have not been disclosed.
