BASF lifts force majeure on citral derivatives

BASF has lifted its declaration of force majeure on citral-based aroma chemicals, as well as vitamin A and vitamin E products for human and animal nutrition, at Ludwigshafen, the company announced today. A fire caused by a technical equipment failure at BASF's citral plant at Ludwigshafen on 12 March forced the company to shut the plant and declare force majeure.   BASF says it was able to stay within an announced shutdown period of four weeks starting 19 March, as reported by CW.
