Amyris Extends Flavors and Fragrances Collaboration

Synthetic biology firm Amyris (Emeryville, CA) says a previously signed flavors and fragrances collaboration with Firmenich (Geneva) has been extended to include the development of a third ingredient. Under the terms of the first agreement, signed in November of 2010, Firmenich funded Amyris' efforts to develop one flavors and fragrances ingredient with the option to co-fund development of a second.
