Sensient earnings fall but beat estimates

Sensient Technologies has reported third-quarter earnings down 4.1% year-on-year (YOY) $31.5 million, or 63 cts/share, on sales up 0.7%, to $372 million. Adjusted earnings, which exclude costs related to the restructuring of the flavors and fragrances segment, totaled 72 cts/share, slightly ahead of analysts’ consensus estimate of 71 cts/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York).
