Sensient to cut 200 jobs, net earnings fall

Sensient Technologies recorded fourth-quarter net earnings down 4.8% year-on-year (YOY), to$27.2 million, on revenue up 4.7% YOY, $352.2 million. Earnings totaled 55 cts/share, short of analysts’ consensus estimate of 60 cts/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York).   Flavors and fragrances segment revenues rose 5.6% YOY, to $216.9 million, while segment operating income was down 9.9% YOY, to $28.7 million.
