SunEdison closes on financing for California solar project

SunEdison, formerly MEMC electronic materials, announced today that it has closed construction financing, underwritten by Deutsche Bank (New York), for its solar power project in Kern County, CA. SunEdison will construct the 60-megawatt plant, which will include 250,000 of the company’s solar modules. SunEdison recently completed two other solar energy projects in California, one also located in Kern County and the other located near San Diego.
