Sigma-Aldrich Buys U.K. Firm

Sigma-Aldrich says it has acquired privately owned Epichem (Bromborough, U.K.) for $60 million in cash. Epichem manufactures and supplies high-purity chemicals for the electronics and photovoltaic market, and has sales of about $40 million/year.
