Molycorp to Accelerate Start-up of Rare Earths Facility

Molycorp’s (Greenwood Village, CO) rare earths processing facility in Mountain Pass, CA will reach production by the end of the third-quarter of 2012, three months ahead of schedule, the company says. The first phase of development of the facility will be complete by then, with production estimated to be 19,050 m.t. of rare earth oxides (REO) on an annualized basis.
