KMG Acquires General Chemical's Electronic Chemicals Unit

KMG Chemicals says it has agreed to acquire the electronic chemicals business of General Chemical for $25.5 million in cash, including about $7 million of inventory and about $850,000 of assumed liabilities. The deal, which is expected to close by the end of March, includes a plant at Hollister, CA, and equipment related to the business at Bay Point, CA.
