The European Commission says it has launched a campaign for coordinated public investment in micro- and nano-electronics, including semiconductors and computer chips. The campaign is designed to expand Europe's advanced manufacturing base.  Micro- and nano-chips require electronic chemicals in their manufacturing processes.
