Dow Corning results up on silicone sales

Dow Corning announced its results today for its fiscal second quarter, with marked improvement in silicone sales in most geographies. The company says there was also significant growth in transportation and electronics applications. Net income of $109 million was up 25% year-over-year (YOY) on sales of $1.5 billion, up 5% YOY.
