Analyst Report Rates Dow Shares 'Conviction Buy'

Goldman Sachs has given Dow's 'conviction buy' rating, removing a 'not rated (NR)' designation for the company's shares, according to an analyst report. Goldman set a $23/share 12-month target for Dow, citing a "favorable outlook" for the specialty and intermediate chemicals businesses, which compose two-thirds of Dow's sales in the wake of the Rohm and Haas (R&G) acquisition.
