Süd-Chemie's Performance Picks Up

Privately owned catalysts and absorbents producer Süd-Chemie (Munich) says its financial performance strengthened in the second quarter following a weak first quarter. Ebit for the first six months of the year fell 26.4%, to €39.8 million ($56.3 million), down 26.4% on the quarter a year ago, after a “satisfactory second quarter” in 2009, the company says.
