Sud-Chemie's Ebit Rises on Improved Demand

 Sud-Chemie reported first-half Ebit up 4%, to €43 million, on sales up 6%, to €576 million. "The marked worldwide recovery on the chemical markets had a positive impact on Sud-Chemie's performance during the first six months of 2010," the company says. "After a sluggish start to the year there was a distinct upturn in business activity during the last few months of the first half." Net income was €14 million, level against the year-ago period.
