Johnson Matthey reports 10% increase in operating profit for quarter

Johnson Matthey (London) reports a 10% increase in operating profit, to £116.1 million ($178.2 million), in its fiscal first quarter, ended 30 June, compared with £105.6 million in the same period during the 2012–13 fiscal year. The company reports an increase of 13% in sales, to £745 million, excluding precious metals, during the quarter.
