Global Catalyst Demand to Rise

Global demand for catalysts is forecast to increase nearly 6%/year, to $16.3 billion by 2012, says a recent report by The Freedonia Group (Cleveland). Volumes are expected to grow 2%/year, to 5.3 million m.t. by 2012, from “strong demand and a shifting product mix toward higher cost and more efficient products,” Freedonia says.
