Evonik Buys H.C. Starck’s Catalyst Business

Evonik Industries says it has acquired the catalyst business of H.C. Starck (Goslar, Germany). Financial terms have not been disclosed. The acquisition includes the know-how and technology relating to the production and use of HC Starck’s AmperKat catalysts range, which principally employs activated nickel catalysts for processing a range of materials including pharmaceutical fine chemicals, food chemicals and industrial chemicals.
