Albemarle Aims to Boost Growth in Catalysts

Albemarle says it expects innovations in catalysts to drive solid earnings growth in 2010 and beyond. Albemare’s long-term strategy is to increase its market position in hydroprocessing catalysts (HPC), fluid catalytic cracking (FCC), and polymerization activation and to be a global catalysts leader for the alternative fuels market, says Albemarle executive v.p. and COO John Steitz. Albemarle says its recent launch of KF-770, its most active desulfurization catalyst to date, was enabled by a €4-million investment in high-throughput screening technology...
