American Vanguard's Earnings Boosted by Higher Insecticide Sales

American Vanguard reported third-quarter net income of $4.6 million, up 28% from the year-ago quarter, on sales up 8%, to $73.8 million. Earnings of 16 cts/diluted share narrowly surpassed analysts’ estimates of 15 cts/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York).
