Markets :: Specialty Chemicals :: Adhesives and sealants Hexion to Shutter U.K. Adhesives Plant2:04 PM MDT | August 20, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Hexion Specialty Chemicals says it plans to close its Clayton, U.K. plant and shift production of pressure sensitive adhesives to its Sokolov, Czech Republic facility at the end of the first quarter of 2008. The Clayton plant also manufactures a line of foam control agents, which Hexion says it plans to divest. Hexion acquired the Clayton plant in 2006 through acquisition of Rhodia’s decorative coatings and adhesives business.
