DaniMer Releases Biobased Label Adhesive

DaniMer Scientific has released its new biobased label adhesive, called DaniMer 92721, to eliminate problems with polyethylene terephthalate (PET) container recycling, the company says. DaniMer worked with materials from DuPont Tate & Lyle and Myriant to develop the easily dissolvable adhesive. The adhesive has a renewable content higher than 50% and dissolves completely in PET flake caustic wash recycling without any leftover clumps of material, the company says.
