Markets :: Specialty Chemicals :: Adhesives and sealants Ashland Agrees to Buy Air Products' Adhesives and Polymer Assets7:44 AM MDT | June 12, 2008 | Kerri Walsh Ashland says it has signed a definitive agreement to buy the assets of Air Products and Chemicals’ pressure-sensitive adhesives business and its atmospheric emulsions business for $92 million. The deal includes Air Products’ plants at Elkton, MD; and Piedmont, SC. The operations to be acquired include acrylic and polyvinyl acetate technologies, Ashland says. The operations reported 2007 sales of $126 million, and will be merged into Ashland’s Specialty Polymers & Adhesives business. About 80 of Air Products employees will transfer to Ashland...
