3M to Buy Aerospace Sealants Firm

3M says it has agreed to acquire Advanced Chemistry & Technology (AC Tech; Garden Grove, CA), a manufacturer of quick cure, light-weight polysulfide sealants for aerospace applications. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter. Aircraft sealants are used to prevent corrosion, seal critical gaps, and  protect from foreign object debris.
