Markets :: Plastics :: Toluene diisocyanate BorsodChem May Idle TDI Plant10:02 AM MDT | April 28, 2011 | Ian Young BorsodChem (Kazincbarcika, Hungary) says it is reviewing operations at its smaller toluene diisocyanate (TDI) plant at Kazincbarcika, and that it may idle the unit temporarily when the company completes commissioning of a new TDI plant at the same site later this year. The company cites "the unfavorable raw material cost evolution" that is expected to "depress margins on TDI substantially in the foreseeable future."
