Bayer Dormagen hydrochloric acid expansion gets green light

Bayer MaterialScience announced today that it has been issued the final construction and operating permit necessary to expand and operate its hydrochloric acid facility at  Dormagen, Germany. The Cologne district authority issued the corresponding ruling on Tuesday following a detailed appraisal, Bayer says. The company can now move forward with the European-wide marketing of hydrochloric acid, which occurs as a by-product in the production of polyurethane raw materials.
