Air Products Signs $500-Million TDA Supply Deal

 Air Products says it has signed a $500-million agreement to supply meta-toluenediamine (TDA) to Zachem, a subsidiary of Ciech Chemical Group (Warsaw). The contract is valid until 2018, the companies say. The value of the TDA supplied to Zachem is about $80 million/year, the companies say. Air Products will provide TDA to Zachem's plant at Bydgoszcz, Poland. Zachem uses TDA to manufacture toluene di-isocyanate (TDI). Zachem is the only producer of TDI in Poland, and the company expanded TDI production at Bydgoszcz by 25%, to 75,000 m.t./year in second-half...
