Sibur and Sinopec Move Ahead with Synthetic Rubber JV in China

Sibur (Moscow) and Sinopec signed a cooperation agreement last week, which will form the basis for the creation of the previously announced joint venture for the production of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) and isoprene rubber at Shanghai, China. Sibur and Sinopec had announced last October the possible formation of two jvs for the production of NBR, which would be based at Krasnoyarsk, Russia; and at Shanghai.
