Argentina's basic chemical production drops 12% year-on-year in April

Argentina's production of basic chemicals fell 11.8% during April compared with the same period last year, according to the latest figures released by Indec, the government statistics office. The sector achieved a production improvement between March and April of 33.6%. Volume and value figures have not been disclosed. Production of polymers and synthetic rubber fell 14.7% in April 2013 compared with April 2012, despite month-on-month growth of 4.1%. Overall plastics production fell by 13.3% in April this year compared with the same period in the prior year...
