Markets :: Plastics :: Polyvinyl chloride Tosoh to Build Second PVC Plant in China1:14 AM MST | December 31, 2009 | Natasha Alperowicz Tosoh Corporation has announced plans to invest Y10 billion ($109 million) in a new polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant in China, the company's second such unit in the country. The unit will be located at Guangzhou and will be operated by Tosoh (Guangzhou) Chemical Industries. Tosoh says it is in talks with the Chinese authorities on the project, which is expected to be designed to produce 300,000 m.t./year of PVC.
