Solvay Completes Expansion of Vinyls Complex in Brazil

Solvay says its Solvay Indupa (Buenos Aires) subsidiary has completed the previously announced $150-million expansion of its plant at Santo André, Brazil, by starting up a new membrane chlor-alkali unit (MCA) associated with the expansion of the downstream vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing facility.
