Private equity firm signs agreement to buy Europe PVC compounder from Solvay

Private equity firm OpenGate Capital (Los Angeles) says it  has signed an exclusivity agreement to acquire Benvic, a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounder, from Solvay. Benvic has three manufacturing plants in Europe. The sale is subject to applicable information-consultation procedures with employee representatives and regulatory approvals, and is expected to be completed by the first half of 2014.
