Markets :: Plastics :: Polyvinyl chloride Moroccan Firm to Use Arkema PVC Technology9:05 AM MST | January 19, 2009 | Natasha Alperowicz Arkema says it has licensed its polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing technology to Societe Nationale d'Electrolyse et de Petrochimie (SNEP), a member of the Chaabi family-owned YNNA group. SNEP will use the technology in a 150,000-m.t./year suspension grade PVC plant at Mohammedia, near Casablanca, which is due onstream end of 2010. The Mohammedia site produces chlorine, caustic soda and vinyl chloride monomer. Output from the plant will be used by the domestic pipe, profile and cable industries.
