Mexichem Acquires PVC Maker

Mexichem (Pajaritos, Mexico) says it has acquired fellow polyvinyl chloride (PVC) producer Petroquímica Colombiana (Mamonal, Colombia). Meanwhile, press reports say Mexichem is eyeing Pemex’s vinyl chloride monomer plant at Pajaritos, which is one of the suppliers of VCM feedstock to Mexichem’s PVC operations.
