Legislation Would Delay CPSC Phthalate Ban

Senator Jim DeMint (R., SC) has introduced legislation that would delay the implementation of the Consumer Products Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), which takes effect tomorrow. The law requires manufacturers and importers of products intended for children under the age of 12 to eliminate phthalates and lead from products by February 10.
